Guest Lecturers
Faculty must obtain prior approval from the department chair to have guests in their classes. Professors must be present during sessions with guest lecturers, and professors are responsible for maintaining Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) responsibilities. Prior to the guest’s arrival, faculty must inform the Campus Manager’s Office and the Campus Police (preferably in writing) that there will be a guest on campus. On the day of the visit, guests must sign in at the Campus Police Office to arrange for parking.
Distance Education
Distance education faculty with online guests lecturers should follow the same procedures as in-class guest lecturers with the exception of the parking requirement. For questions, please email the Office of Distance and Alternative Education via dlstaff@austincc.edu.
