Attendance Certification

Federal financial aid regulations mandate that institutions of higher education be able to document attendance for all students who are receiving financial aid. Awarding of aid and determination of possible repayment for non‐attendance requires this information.

Certification Deadline

Each semester, by the official reporting date for your teaching sessions (i.e. 16‐week, 8‐week, 12‐week, etc.), you will need to certify attendance for all of your students on each of your class rosters, indicating their attendance status. Faculty should review and re-certify their rosters one day prior to the certification date, to ensure that any students who have been late added to the class after it started are also certified by the deadline. Each certification deadline date ends at 11:59 p.m.
