Title IX

What is Title IX?

“The Education Amendments of 1972 states that: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance. Title IX applies to all institutions that receive federal financial assistance, including K-12 schools and institutions of higher education.” – from the ACC Title IX webpage

Clery Act

What is the Clery Act?

“The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (The Clery Act)
The Clery Act is a federal mandate requiring compliance from all institutions of higher education participating in the federal student financial aid program.

The goal of the Clery Act’s safety and security regulations is to provide students and their families, as higher education consumers, with accurate, complete, and timely information about safety on campus.” – from the ACC Clery Act page

ACC Board Policies

Board Agendas provide background information, resource personnel, and recommendations for each item submitted for Board consideration. They are published and distributed by the Chancellor’s Office.

 

Administrative Rules

Guidelines and procedures are included in some of the Administrative Rules documents. The guidelines and procedures offer additional guidance and detail on the implementation of the Administrative Rule in practice.

ACC Catalog & Student Handbook

The Austin Community College (ACC) Catalog includes everything students need to know about ACC. The catalog is a description of ACC’s academic programs, policies, and facilities. It also describes the many resources provided to students to assist them with achieving their academic and career goals, including free advising and tutoring services. The current catalog is in effect for new students entering ACC in the fall semester of each academic year and for any ACC student returning for the current academic year whose catalog has expired. The catalog is prepared from existing policies and information obtained from the appropriate ACC officials and is the document of authority for all students.

ACC Public Course Schedule

ACC Course Schedule lists the schedule of courses offered each semester. Important dates can be found here. Registration instructions can be found here.

 

ACC Fact Book

The ACC Fact Book is published by the Office of Institutional Research and Analytics (OIRA). It presents statistical information on such topics as enrollment figures, College curricula, student characteristics, budget and finance, and faculty and staff.

 

ACC Directory

The ACC Employee Directory is an online listing of all personnel included on the College Staffing Table as well as grant employees.
