Faculty Credentials
Austin Community College (ACC) is committed to meeting or exceeding the minimum guidelines of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, our accreditation agency, for faculty credentials. The ACC Human Resources website lists the minimum credential qualifications for faculty positions in each discipline.
Faculty Talent Onboarding
The Austin Community College (ACC) Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) has partnered with ACC Human Resources to create a comprehensive online orientation and onboarding experience for all new adjunct and full-time faculty. This semester-long program is designed to launch faculty into a successful career at ACC and bring ease to the first semester.
Mentoring
Mentoring is an essential part of the onboarding experience, and all-new ACC faculty, both full-time and adjunct, must be assigned a mentor during their first semester at the College. If a new faculty member does not have a mentor assigned, the new faculty member can request a mentor from their Department Chair. Any other faculty member may be assigned a mentor at the discretion of the Department Chairs or upon the request of the faculty member.
Mandatory & Compliance Training
