Faculty Evaluation
Faculty Evaluation
The Office of Faculty Evaluation maintains and implements Austin Community College (ACC) faculty evaluation timelines and procedures recommended by the Faculty Development and Evaluation shared governance committee. Evaluation is required for faculty counselors, full-time/adjunct faculty, and faculty librarians. The evaluation process is intended to provide feedback to faculty on the effectiveness of their classroom instruction and aid in the development of their professional development plans. Course evaluation is a part of the performance evaluation of faculty and is required for each course every semester.
The Faculty Evaluation Manual includes procedures for faculty evaluation, portfolio, and classroom observations.
Note: This manual will be regularly reviewed by the Faculty Development & Evaluation Shared Governance Committee.
Visit the Faculty Evaluation page for information on performance evaluation procedures and requirements. Visit the Course Evaluation page for information on course evaluation procedures, calendars, and the latest updates.

The Faculty Development & Faculty Evaluation Committee develops and recommends a comprehensive, valid, and reliable, faculty evaluation process for ACC that complies with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requirements, Austin Community College District’s (ACC’s) Board Policies and Administrative Rules, and reflects good practices.
